Today, more than ever, there is a great need for formation-systematic teachings in our groups. Spread Your Wings-Leadership Institute has developed this syllabus so that it can be used for the ongoing formation of members of various groups & for individual study.
In the words of Pope John Paul II, “People are approached in the liberty by God who calls everyone to grow, develop and bear fruit. A person cannot put off a response nor cast off personal responsibility in this matter.” #57 of Christifideles Laici (The vocation and the mission of the lay faithful in the Church and in the world)
The Prophet Hosea says in Chapter 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children”

How true are these words of the Prophet Hosea! We need ongoing formation to become Disciples of Jesus. Our goal is to imitate Christ in our everyday life. This syllabus will help you and the group to achieve this.
